Maximilian Ritter von Brandenberg
 and
Lady Margerite von Buchholtz

live in the Germany of the 14th century, around 1370.

he 14th century was time of great changes and one of the more colorful periods of the middle ages. It was also the time of the plague, which ravaged this area in 1351 and change life for everybody.
Because of the new found "life", after having survived the plague, fashions changed drastically from the long garments of the 12th and 13th century to shorter and tighter fashions.
Armor also changed, from mail to plate and the 100 year war was fought in this century.

itter Maximilian's home town of Brandenberg is a small village near the Inn valley, then part of Bavaria in the Holy Roman Empire of German Nations.

ur picture

Not that I am especially photogenic (believe me, I had to search hard to find *these* pictures), but my wife is beautiful and I have no problem showing her off, even if her beauty is being disturbed by that thing on her side. Did I hear Ogre?

Anyway, that's us.

Hmm...tooting our own horn here, eh?

I don't entirely feel comfortable putting awards up here.
Awards are given in the SCA for many different purposes. They are the positive inspiration that is so often lacking in regular life. They are not something that one should strive towards, because the best rewards are not given as tokens, but as actions.

Our awards are memories to us, of friends, places and events.
